Adobe Flash Player 10.1 Expected for Future Windows Phone

Adobe Flash Player 10.1 Expected for Future Windows Phone

Seems like Adobe has made the first official, albeit very subtle, announcement of Flash Player 10.1 heading to Microsoft's new Windows Phone platform. In its official press release announcing Adobe Air 2.5, there is a mention of Adobe Flash 10.1 player being expected on future Windows Phone updates. We did notice that it stated Windows Phone, which could be the recently launched Windows Phone 7 or an even later update.

WMPoweruser.com - At Adobe MAX, Adobe’s worldwide developer conference, they announced Adobe® AIR® 2.5 software for televisions, tablets, smartphones and desktop operating systems. There is no word on Adobe Air availability on Windows Phone 7 platform. But Adobe have confirmed that Flash is coming to future versions of Windows Phone.

And thus, we're back to the whole question of - do you need Flash or just hold on for HTML5? Whatever it is, we hope these Flash updates on Windows Phone are coming soon, before it becomes outdated. Check out the story here and the press release over here.
