Acer Introduces Two New Ultrabooks with Touch Capabilities for Windows 8

Along with the earlier mentioned Iconia tablets, Acer has also announced two ultra-slim Ultrabooks at Computex 2012.

The new Aspire S7 will come in two sizes, 13.3-inch and 11.6-inch, and both are extremely thin and light. Thickness is only a mere 12mm. This is made possible thanks to the unibody aluminum design. Also, the chassis and hinge is designed in such a way that the screen that be folded 180-degrees flat. Furthermore, what’s also unique is that the two Ultrabooks will have full HD displays with touch capabilities.

Acer hasn’t revealed what processors the new Ultrabooks will have nor the its detailed specifications, but we’ll be surprised if it wasn’t one of the new low-voltage Ivy Bridge processors that Intel has only just recently released.
