The successor of the original Veolo features a completely new UI, with six big icons: MEDIA, GAMES, FAV, FILE MANAGER, BROWSER, and GOOGLE PLAY STORE, along with smaller shortcut icons usually found on the Android OS, including (but not limited to) app drawer, settings, task killer, etc.

Combining apps, internet, and a media streamer all on your TV, Veolo 2 runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform, and is driven by an ARM Cortex A9 1.6GHz quad-core processor with onboard 1GB DDR3. With an internal storage of 8GB expandable via microSD or external hard disks, it also includes a built-in browser so you can surf the web or stream your library of music, movies, and photos in Full HD with wired LAN or built-in Wi-Fi from the comfort of your sofa.

Allowing users the option to wall-mount the player with a specially-designed bottom casing of the player, the Smart Android Hub comes with the VEO Navigator, a special remote control which is a full RF controller that omits the issue of "line-of-sight" control with conventional IR control. On the underside of the VEO Navigator is a QWERTY keyboard, marrying all the functionalities of a wireless keyboard, mouse, and motion controller. Also, its built-in battery is rechargeable, saving you the hassle of changing batteries.

Priced at S$269, the AC Ryan Veolo 2 will be available in stores from June 2013.
