5-inch Sony Xperia Yuga's Specs Leaked, Similar to Odin? (Update)

Update: According to a poster in the IT168 forums, the Xperia Yuga is set to pack some impressive specs, including a "Samsung Exynos 5 Quad chipset (marking a move away from Qualcomm), 3GB of RAM, 16MP camera, and a 5-inch OLED display of 1080p resolution". According to GSMArena, there will be more to this monster of a phone like "128GB of built-in storage, a 3000mAh battery, plus water and dust resistance and an IR port".

It's been only a couple of weeks since the alleged Sony Xpera 'Odin' emerged on the web and there are already new leaks and rumors about another 5-inch Xperia 'phablet', the Xperia 'Yuga'. These devices have not been officially revealed by the company and by the looks of it, they might just very well be the same product due to the alarming similarities that they share.

Like the Odin, the Xperia Yuga will come with a 5-inch touch screen  that will feature a 1080p display, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. More details include a 12-megapixel Exmor Camera sensor and 2400mAh battery (on the other hand, the Odin is said to come with a slightly smaller 2300mAh battery). The device will feature a unibody enclosure and a glass back that's water and dust resistant of which the Odin will resemble too.

With the Odin rumored to surface for the first time during CES, it wouldn't be entirely surprising that the Yuga, if it does exist, will make its official appearance alongside its sibling. Given Sony's penchant for releasing their flagship devices in series (check out our MWC coverage here), it is entirely unsurprising that there might be two or even more devices to show for. Otherwise, they could be HSDPA+ and LTE variants of the same device.

These are said to be available at some point in March/April 2013 in the US, with no news of local availability at this point in time.
