3DMark for Windows RT Arrives

Previously only available to Android and iOS users, the 3DMark app helps you benchmark the performance of the Surface 2 and other Windows RT devices. You can also compare 3DMark scores across platforms.

Use 3DMark to show your readers how the Surface 2 stacks up against the latest Android tablets, the iPad, and other Windows ultralight notebooks. If you don't have access to those devices, you'll find a ranked list of all the most popular devices in the app and on the Futuremark website.

3DMark on Windows RT includes the same benchmarks as the Android and iOS editions. Cross-platform benchmarking across Windows, Android, iOS, and Windows RT is easy, fast and accurate with 3DMark.

3DMark Ice Storm is a DX11 feature level 9 benchmark (the modern equivalent of DX9) for testing Windows RT tablets and notebooks. It includes two 720p Graphics tests designed to stress GPU performance and a Physics test to stress CPU performance.

3DMark Ice Storm Extreme raises the Graphics tests' rendering resolution to 1080p and uses higher quality textures and post-processing effects to create a more demanding load for the latest mobile devices.

3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited is a different type of benchmark, one designed to test the raw performance of the underlying hardware. Use Ice Storm Unlimited to compare different chipsets, CPUs and GPUs without vertical sync, display resolution scaling and other operating system factors affecting the result.
