12 Days of Christmas! - Evolve Your PC with an SSD

Samsung 840 Evo SSD

Still running a mechanical hard drive with spinning platters and all? If there’s a PC component upgrade you want to make this coming holidays, then make it a solid-state drive. The 2.5-inch Samsung 840 Evo SSD series (comes in 120GB, 250GB, 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities) may not be the company’s flagship SSD offering, but it’s still mighty fast for most of us, with its maximum sequential read speed of 540MB/s and (with the exception of the 120GB model) a maximum sequential write speed of 520MB/s. Tempted? You can find the best prices in the HardwareZone's Price Guide section or from the shop's individual Price List Downloads section.

(Note: For those interested, an 840 Evo in a smaller 1.5-inch mSATA form factor was recently announced; this will hit stores come January 2014.)
