Offering an irresistible combination of performance and price, it is no wonder that the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT is perhaps one of the more popular GPUs at the moment. Launched slightly more than half a year ago, the GeForce 9600 GT was the first of NVIDIA's GeForce 9 series cards, and is targeted squarely at the lucrative mid-range mainstream market.

Since its launch, we have seen many variants from graphics vendors. To stand out, they often employ one of two commonly used methods, or sometimes even both. One of the methods is factory-overclocking. Zotac's AMP! Edition and Palit's Sonic series of cards are two such examples. Another method vendors use to differentiate themselves from the competition is the addition of customized cooling solutions. Think Zalman coolers, MSI Hybrid Freezers and ASUS Glaciators.

So what about the Zotac GeForce 9600 GT DP? What makes it so special? We are glad you asked. Not only does it sport a fancy Zalman cooler, it also comes factory-overclocked, but beyond this, it also has a host of video outputs. Apart from the usual two DVI and mini-DIN S/Video output, it also has one for HDMI, another for VGA and yet another for the newer DisplayPort interface. In short, the works.

Like all other Zotac cards, the Zotac GeForce 9600 GT DP comes in Zotac's familiar orange box.

So join us as we take a look to see if this is one of the most complete GeForce 9600 GT cards that money can buy.
