A Renewed Xperience

Traditionally, Sony Ericsson has always stuck to its guns and followed through its lineup with a focus on its entertainment delivery for its mobile phones. But recent developments from the likes of iPhone and its App Store, plus HTC and the rise of Android and the Android Market, has prompted Sony Ericsson to re-evaluate its positioning. By 2008, we were introduced to the company's first Microsoft Windows Mobile device, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1.

The X1 represented Sony Ericsson's first step into a market that demands for something unique amongst the sea of similar smartphones. Aptly recognizing that user interface (UI) is the key to it all, the XPERIA Panels made its debut on the X1. So it's of no surprise that its successor, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2, continued with the said features.
