Conclusion

If pure 3D performance and high clock speeds is your cup of tea, the Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB has loads of it. If you want the best in eye candy, the Radeon X1900 XTX can satisfy even the worst HDR addict. Throw in all the latest advancement in graphical technology and the conclusion that this is one of the best graphics cards available now is unavoidable. It is also one of the most expensive ever.

So what's the pricing for the Radeon X1900 XTX now that it has been in the market for a couple of weeks? Well, the Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB has fallen slightly from its initial launch price of US$649, though it is certainly not enough for most who desire this card. OEM versions have gone under the US$600 mark though the retail versions are still comfortably above that. Unfortunately, we do not have the retail price of the MSI Radeon X1900 XTX but going by its usual graphics products, it should be in the middle of the pack for its class. With the prices of the Radeon X1900 XT also succumbing to the downward price pressure, getting the Radeon X1900 XTX is still and may probably never be more worth it than the XT version. But that could just be our miserly selves talking.

For those more inclined to splurge on these powerful graphics cards, the MSI Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB is in a nutshell, your typical Radeon X1900 XTX. After all, these cards are built by ATI and only sold and distributed by the vendors, so there is only so much variance in the quality of the hardware. Therefore, we have seen equally good benchmark results from the MSI and the Sapphire Radeon X1900 XTX that we had tested before. The only major difference was the inferior overclocking that we managed on the MSI but that could easily be attributed to our luck and similarly, your mileage here will vary too.

Besides the hardware, which is so similar to any other competitors' offerings, MSI does have a commendable bundle of accessories and software to pamper its customers. From the new King Kong game to the fully featured DVD-related applications, MSI has covered its bases adequately here. In fact, the price and the contents of the bundle are probably the remaining factors that most people will consider. The size and reputation of MSI should also be an assurance that you probably won't be left with an unsupported product. Overall, the MSI Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB is a decent offering of the best GPU in the world now.
