The shader intensive 3DMark05 was exactly what the Radeon X1800 XT needed. It easily reigned supreme over the NVIDIA cards though the overclocked D.O.T enhanced MSI did manage to prevent a complete sweep by taking the 1600 x 1200 without anti-aliasing. Most importantly, the new GeForce 7900 GT showed the distinct progress made by more than matching a former performance champion like the GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB. As expected from a couple of reference cards, the scores of both the ASUS and MSI cards were basically inseparable from each other.
