Lian Li Armorsuit PC-P60

The Exterior

At First Glance

The first thing that's noticeable about the PC-P60 is the departure from the normal minimalistic design of the Lian Li cases. Instead of clean lines we have come to expect, the PC-P60 breaks out with a more angular front door and a protrusion at the top for an odd-looking vent.

Looking quite out of place on the top of the casing is this weird-looking vent which houses the Power and Reset buttons. Hidden underneath the Lian Li logo are the ports.

As mentioned, under the logo lies the standard array of connectivity ports from USB, FireWire, eSATA and audio ports. The cover flap helps to keep the ports dust free when not in use.

The front of the PC-P60 felt heavier than the rest of the case during our one-arm lifting trial and this due to the thicker aluminum finish for the front facade as well as the triple 120mm fans, expansion drive cages and more. The photos and captions below capture all the details:-

Users can change the direction of the door swing, though it might be slightly troublesome to do so. Thankfully such changes are usually a one-time effort, but it's good that the casing offers this option.

You don't normally find three 120mm fans located on a front door of a case, which tends to make the case rather front heavy.

This easily removable washable filter is located between the fans and the front door - a very practical maintenance solution as the fans wouldn't gather much dust. Thumbs up for Lian Li's thoughtfulness.

The PC-P160 has nine 5.25" expansion slots, though only six are available for immediate use as the removable HDD cage takes up the bottom three slots.
