El Divo

El Divo

Admittedly, IXOS is not a household name when it comes to speakers, but that’s mostly because the company’s main area of business is in audio and video cables. And despite the Italian roots of the name - Divo, loosely translated, is Italian for male operatic superstar - IXOS actually hails from the United Kingdom.

With 15 years of experience in all things audio, IXOS has been dedicated to producing the highest quality audio and video cables that will retain, as much as possible, the original signal from the source. Recently, however, IXOS is diversifying their business and the Divo music system is their take at a 2.1 speaker system.

The IXOS Divo was designed to complement your living room TV, but at the same time also integrate seamlessly with iPods and iPhones, MP3 players and also computers. Hence it should be no surprise to find that the Divo has a special dock for iPods and iPhones, which lets users quickly play music from their iPod/iPhone device and also charge them. Such a feature makes sense since there are already close to 300 million iPods and iPhones sold worldwide.

And, we must compliment the Divo on its stylish and modern looks. It certainly looks classy, but it is more than just a pretty face? Read on as we put it through our tests.
