Surprisingly, the Gigabyte failed to match the similarly clocked ASUS EAX1800XT TOP in Quake 4. All the resolutions and settings saw the Gigabyte GV-RX18T512V-B Turbo falling behind the ASUS and even the slower clocked Radeons. Given that the Gigabyte was running on a different motherboard, we are inclined to believe that like its poor showing in 3DMark05, the motherboard was to blame, especially since our review of it showed that it was not the fastest nForce4 SLI motherboard around.
