The GA-965P-DQ6 performed reasonably well under SPECviewperf, taking advantage of the P965's memory optimizations and higher DDR2-800 bandwidth to take the lead over the 955X and 975X motherboards, though it still lost out to the nForce4 SLI XE based ECS C19-A SLI. This only means one thing - NVIDIA's memory controller implementation is still superior to Intel's and we'll soon be verifying that again with the upcoming nForce5 Intel Edition chipsets. Stay tuned as we dwell into that subject in another article.
