The Interior

The Interior

Fact of the matter is, the interior of the Cosmos Storm looks remarkably similar to the Cosmos 1000, though there are some very obvious changes that we noticed straight away. First up is the disappearance of the VGA air duct as it is not required anymore thanks to the 200mm fan located on the side panel.

As you can see there's plenty of space inside this casing that should please everyone. Do note that it will become a bit more cramped once all the cables are properly done, though there's plenty of space at the back to route the cables.

The rear expansion slots are secured by easily removable thumbscrews.

The back of the motherboard tray has plenty of space for routing your cables behind.

Other changes include the PSU filter, which is now only removable from the inside, unlike the conveniently placed location on the Cosmos 1000. Other notable interior changes are the removal of the hard drive compartments that were seen in the Cosmos 1000 and in its place the inclusion of a removable hard disk cage.

Unlike the Cosmos 1000, the removable filter for the PSU comes out from the inside, so you will have to open your casing if you do want to wash the casing. However if you do have the optional bottom fan installed, then you might have problems taking the filter out.

The PSU compartment has plenty of space to spare as you can see by the remaining length of the filter exposed here.

The tool-free mechanism from the Cosmos 1000 makes its return in the Cosmos Storm.

The HDD cage comes with two detachable sideplates that work together with the vibrational dampeners to reduce vibration.
