Extending Your Wireless Reach.

Wireless networks provide a great degree of convenience and ease of use with regards to information transfer and access to the internet. But the cost of having no cabling is patchy signals and limited range. Luckily the problem can be rectified with the addition of a simple wireless repeater. Aztech’s WL556E provides a simple solution to address wireless blind spots and signal degradation.

The WL556E plugs directly into the power supply socket in order to operate. The Aztech WL556E also provides security support for WEP, WPA and WPA2 protocols, with the various configuration settings accessible via web browser. If you face any configuration issues, a handy reset button at the base of the device restores factory default settings, letting you run the setup sequence once again.

Compatible with wireless 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n standards, the device will work in tandem with a whole host of routers. The front face of the WL556E has LED lights which indicate whether it is powered on, as well as its connection status to wireless or wired networks.

On the whole, the WL556E functioned as one would expect. Plugging the device in near the area where our wireless signal was weakest, we found that it extended coverage by a good 10 meters more or so.

With the Aztech WL556E, extending the range of your wireless networks as well as eliminating blind spots is made easy. Best of all, it doesn’t cost a lot at just S$79.
