Stylish on the Outside

The design of the Aspire X3600 doesn't really detract from its style and while there are glossy areas on the rig, you'll find that these areas won't get the inevitable 'fingerprints of doom' (smudges). Seeing how the glossed sections are cleverly positioned, that there is no need to even handle those areas. The other surface areas are finished in tasteful matte black. We do hope that other PC vendors would follow suit and leave the glossy areas where contact is not needed. Lastly, located on the front panel are connectivity ports for easy access. The optical drive is hidden by a glossy cover that swivels open when the drive is ejected.

The only glossy surface that you'll ever touch when handling the X3600 would be this power button.

Hidden under a cover is the Blu-ray Universal drive which also reads HD-DVD formats. Accessing the drive is simple, just hit the drive eject button at the top of the unit and the drive tray pops out.

Located at the bottom left corner of the X3600 for easy access are these connectivity options which include four USB ports, audio and microphone jacks, multi-card reader and an IEEE 1394 port.

The back of the X3600 features yet another 4 more USB ports, an IEEE 1394 port, 5 audio ports, one S/PDIF output, 1 LAN Port, a DVI-I port (with D-Sub adapter), one HDMI port, one S/PDIF output, one Kensington Lock and also features optional ports such as S-video, FM and TV antenna, and IR Blaster (circled).
