ZTE launches three smartphones in Singapore, available from August 16
Two months after announcing plans to expand into South East Asia, ZTE today launched three smartphone models which are the Blade VEC 4G, the Blade L2 and the KIS 3. All three smartphones run on Android 4.4 KitKat and are priced below S$300.
They will be available for purchase from August 16 at Polaris Ltd stores.The Blade VEC 4G and KIS 3 also can be purchased at all SingTel outlets from August 23. Here's a quick look at what each phone has to offer:
ZTE Blade VEC 4G
As the flagship device, the Blade VEC 4G is equipped with the best hardware among the three models. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB RAM.
It has a 5-inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 4G connectivity, 16GB internal storage space with no memory card slot and a non-removable 2,300mAh battery. ZTE Blade L2
The Blade L2 is the mid-range model of the three. While it sports a similar 5-inch display as the Blade VEC 4G, its display resolution is lower at 854 x 480 pixels. It is driven by a MediaTek MT6582m quad-core 1.3GHz processor and 1GB RAM.
Other specs include dual-SIM support, a 2,000mAh battery, 4GB internal storage with no memory card slot, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a weight of 166g. It is available for S$169 without line contract and inclusive of GST.
ZTE KIS 3
The entry-level KIS 3 is equipped with a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage (with microSD support up to 32GB), a 1,400mAh battery and a 2-megapixel rear camera.
Like the Blade L2, the KIS 3 is a dual-SIM phone. Positioned as the compact phone for tech-savvy seniors, the KIS 3 has a price tag of S$99 without line contract and inclusive of GST. Below is a quick overview of the three ZTE smartphones:
