Wusify aims to be the safest place to shop online

You may have heard of Carousell, Lazada, and Qoo10 - but have you heard of Wusify?

Carrying a “Scan. Buy. Snap. Sell.” slogan, Wusify is, put simply, yet another online marketplace. But it doesn’t just cozy up with tech gadget vendors; Wusify also partners with clothing retailers and sports equipment vendors. And though most of its partners deal with physical goods, Wusify also tries to rope in service vendors, like beauty treatment shops and restaurants. (Even the Singapore Science Center is onboard.) You can check out the list of brands Wusify carries here.

On the consumer-facing front, to differentiate itself from the other online buy/sell sites, Wusify says it vets each and every retailer before they are permitted to sell on Wusify. To minimize the number of fly-by-night sellers, it even mandates that every seller has at least one physical retail outlet. Having a physical shop also serves another purpose: buyers can choose to pick up their purchase at the store. Also worth noting is Wusify supports charity causes; in fact, it lists The Salvation Army as one of its retailers.

Adopting an O2O (online-to-offline) business strategy, Wusify also goes as far as to claim that it’s the only B2B2C (business-to-business-to-consumer) e-commerce mobile platform in the world. It doesn’t matter if that’s true or not, but one thing’s for sure: with a low setup and maintenance cost, as well as free promotion on social media, Wusify is trying its best to woo brick-and-mortar store owners who have so far hesitated to set up shop online. (Here’s Wusify’s sales kit in PDF for those interested.)

Additionally, while Wusify has a website that works on most modern desktop browsers, it’s clear the mobile app offers a more convenient way for things like order tracking, social media sharing, and staying updated with discounts and promotions. The Wusify mobile app (Apple App Store link, Google Play store link) also has a feature to direct users to nearby outlets.

Now in case you’re wondering, I know about Wusify not by way of a press release, but because it has for some reason decided to sponsor a video by Oak 3 Films, called “Can I Be Your Free Wi-Fi?” No words can describe this video, and no screenshots can do it enough justice - so I’ve simply embedded it below.

Enjoy.
