Wish granted! Fitbit's Charge set to rush into stores before Christmas

There's no word on when the Charge HR (basically the Charge but with a heart rate sensor) will hit stores though.

It was a little over a month ago when we talked about the Fitbit Charge and how it was coming in early 2015. Well, it turns out that that's no longer true. In a pleasant surprise, Fitbit's told us that the Charge will be coming a lot sooner than expected. How soon? It hits local stores on the 19th of December, about a week before Christmas. Just in time for last minute Christmas shopping!

The Charge is the entry point for Fitbit's latest line of activity trackers. Like most trackers, it'll be able to track your physical activity throughout the day and also function as a watch. It also can pair up with a smartphone to display call notifications. It features wireless syncing with other smart devices and last about 7 - 10 days on a single full charge.

To recap, the Charge is coming on the 19th of December, at a retail price of $169.
