The WD Sentinel S-series features WD datacenter-class 3.5-inch HDDs for storage; the Intel-Xeon-based servers come preloaded with Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials. This allows small business owners to operate their business applications, and at the same time, enjoy the NAS performance of these compact servers.

There are a total of five new Sentinel S-series models; the DS5100 is available in capacities of 4 or 8 TB and the DS6100 is pre-configured with capacities of 8, 12, or 16 TB. The recommended retail price starts from US$2,500 for the WD Sentinel DS5100, with 4TB of storage. For more information, please head over to WD's product page here.
