Tyan debuts the new S5510 and S5512 Single-Processor Motherboards utilizing the next Generation Intel Xeon Processors for the embedded and SMB environments.
It will showcase an array of the new single sockets platforms at the Intel Solution Summit in Las Vegas. This is the public announcement of the new S5510 and S5512 Single-Processor LGA 1155 socket utilizing the next Generation of Intel Xeon Processors (codename: Sandy-Bridge) that are embedded with the Intel Cougar Point chipset. Tyan has an entire series of single socket products that target embedded, SMB and workstation environments.
“In order to meet the expectations of higher performance, maximum energy efficiency and lower IT operation cost, TYAN developed a brand new single-socket product line based on new Intel technology,” said Tyan Director of Product Marketing, Kevin Hart. “The Tyan S5510, S5512 and the upcoming S5515 are specially designed with the Intel Cougar Point chipset and support the next Generation Intel Xeon Processors. These solutions will provide greater power efficiency with a lower refresh cost."
The S5510 is a Micro ATX design that features four DDR3 DIMM sockets, four PCI-E 2.0 and three GbE LAN ports. The S5510 is designed specifically for embedded, SMB and security environments. The S5512 features one PCI-E 2.0 x16, four GbE LAN ports and eight SAS 6G ports. The S5512 high performance and storage capability make it an ideal solution for storage, medical, telecom and networking environments. The S5515 features one PCI-E 2.0 x16. It is an ideal solution for entry-level embedded appliances, such as gaming and Kiosk. The Tyan S5510 and S5512 products would be available in late Q2'11 through Tyan distributors worldwide. Tyan will also display the S5510 and S5512 and other I Intel Westmere platforms that support Intel Xeon 5500/5600 Series Processors at the Intel Solution Summit at Las Vegas.
