Trend Micro introduces new Maximum Security Cloud Edition security software

According to Trend Micro, three out of four Internet users in Singapore are concerned about privacy on social networks. However, it found that only 60% of respondents only change their passwords when needed and 32% of mobile users allow mobile apps to access their social media profiles. On top of that, 20% of respondents believe they have downloaded malicious apps, and 51% do not know if they have encountered such apps.

Cyberattacks can take many forms today and to combat that, Trend Micro has just introduced its new Maximum Security Cloud Edition security application. Trend Micro calls it "the most comprehensive security solution available that offers protection from cyber threats for PC, Mac, Android and now iOS platforms", and it can help protect Internet users from potentially harmful activities online.

For instance, its antivirus and web-threat protection feature can identify and block dangerous links in websites, social networks, emails and instant messaging. It can also detect phishing links in spam mails. Furthermore, the new Maximum Security Cloud Edition also has a password manager that encrypts all online passwords. The password manager also works across multiple devices and provides a password generator to stop the common, but unsafe practice of using the same password for multiple accounts.

The Trend Micro Maximum Security Cloud Edition will be available starting from 19th September will prices beginning at S$39 for a one-device license. Licenses for two, three and five devices will cost S$69, S$99 and S$129 respectively.
