TomTom Launches Location Based Services Platform for Rapid Application Development

TomTom has launched its new LBS (Location Based Services) Platform and Developer Portal. This cloud-based LBS Platform will provide developers with the content and tools to rapidly create location-enabled applications for a variety of commercial and consumer markets. Apps which can be created include fleet management, route planning, traffic management, and geospatial analysis.
In addition to enabling businesses to access TomTom's high quality location and navigation services including map display, routing, traffic and geocoding, the TomTom Developer Portal allows developers easy to use tools to build web and mobile apps using simple application programming interfaces (APIs) and Software Developer Kits (SDKs), with all supporting documentation.
