Thermaltake's New NiC CPU Coolers Compatible with Tall Memory Modules

Thermaltake Introduces the NiC Series of CPU Coolers

Thermaltake announces its latest series of CPU coolers, the NiC series. With its name inspired from "non-interference cooler", the NiC series which consists of the F3, F4, C4, and C5 models, is fully compatible with RAM of all kinds, and is ideal for power users who fill their RAM slots with taller, high-end overclocked memory modules. Incorporating the latest proprietary technology, the F3, F4, C4, and C5 coolers are designed to handle various cooling capacities and are rated for 160W, 180W, 200W, and 230W TDP respectively.

Heat is conducted from the CPU to the cooler, through the thick nickel-coated copper base and then onto the aluminum fins with Φ6mm u-shaped heat-pipes (they number from 3 to 5 depending on the cooler model), ensuring the best possible heat dissipation. Users can also opt for a single 120mm fan, go for coolers that have shrouds to contain the air flow, or go with a pair of 120mm fans.

The aluminum fins are specially designed in a curved shape to reduce back pressure and maximize air flow through them at the same time. The 0.4mm thick fins also help increase the overall thermal dissipation area. The coolers integrate a single 120mm PWM fan (F3), or dual 120mm PWM fans (F4) with automatically adjustable silent fan blades (rated for 800 - 1600rpm), or voltage regulated fans (applicable to C4/C5) are connected to an adjustable fan speed knob where the fan speeds can be manually adjusted from 1000 - 2000rpm. The convenient tool-less fan clip design also makes installation a breeze.
