Thermaltake has announced the first cases in its Tt Premium modder edition chassis series. The Tower 900 and 900 Snow Edition E-ATX Vertical Super Tower Chassis were designed in collaboration with Watermod France, and are intended to deliver top-notch craftsmanship with plenty of room for massive custom liquid cooling loops and high-end hardware.

As it turns out, The Tower 900 was actually inspired by the Core X9 chassis. Mathieu Heredia, the creator of The Tower and co-founder of Watermod France, says that he completely rethought the Core X9 and set out to build something that was functional and has a unique design.

The final product was The Tower 900, an E-ATX vertical chassis with a 5mm thick tempered glass panel to show off your custom build in its full glory.

The vertical mounting system means that the issue of GPU sagging – perhaps one of the more prominent issues with top-end builds – is eliminated because the cards are now mounted vertically instead.

The interior has also been divided into two chambers, with a smaller compartment to help isolate the radiators without compromising on cooling performance. There’s room for truly sprawling liquid cooling setups (dual 560mm radiators to be exact), and the case can hold up to dual-loop cooling systems.

That said, one of the most interesting features is the modular design. This is more than just an assortment of removable panels or drive cages, and the case can be completely built – and disassembled – from the ground up with modular panels, racks, and mounting arrays.

Furthermore, radiator and fan mounting points on both sides of the cage allow for almost limitless cooling configurations.

Both The Tower 900 and The Tower 900 Snow Edition cost US$250.
