Massive, custom liquid cooling systems help keep your system frosty, so it only seems fitting that Thermaltake has now launched its Core X9 Snow Edition, an all-white cube case capable of accommodating the most extreme systems and cooling setups.

Like the original Core X9, the Snow Edition is an E-ATX cube case featuring endless stackable ability and expandability for enthusiasts to fit massive liquid cooling systems.

It offers users many options to customize their chassis, such as interchangeable side panels and I/O panel design. The option to fit the case’s window on either side of the case is particularly nifty, as you no longer have to rearrange your desk to accommodate the case and show off its internals at the right angle. Furthermore, the large size of the case (502 x 380 x 640mm) means that it’s far easier to simply slap the window on the other side of the case than it is to move the case around to ensure that the window isn’t facing a blank wall.

The Core X9 Snow Edition is clearly targeted at serious enthusiasts who demand a huge array of expansion options and the ability to incorporate external, modular upgrades. It features a two-tier design with upper and lower chambers, where the upper compartment accommodates your motherboard and graphics cards and the lower one holds the power supply unit (PSU) and removable drive cages.

One of the benefits of this is that it enables a compartmentalized setup for pure cooling, where key components like the motherboard, CPU and graphics cards are in the upper chamber while the PSU and radiator are installed in the lower chamber, thus enabling unimpeded air flow and a cleaner setup.

With the amount of space and useful compartmentalized design, you have almost endless options when it comes to configuring your system. Or systems, because the case can hold up to two of them. The Core X9 Snow Edition is also fully modular, which means that all the drive cages, optical bays and even motherboard trays can be reconfigured to suit your own personal needs or simply removed to free up even more space.

As a case designed with liquid cooling in mind, the Core X9 Snow edition features fan brackets with varied mounting points to support a wide range of fan setups, from huge arrays of fans for air cooling to large liquid-cooling radiators. For instance, the fan brackets can be adjusted for 120, 140 or 200mm fans at the top panel or 120 and 140mm fans on the side panel.

It can also accommodate the most extreme components, supporting CPU coolers up to 250mm in height and PSUs measuring up to 200mm in length. In addition, the top of the case will take two 480mm radiators installed side by side for some serious cooling performance.
