To support the National Day Parade (NDP) celebrations in and around "TheFloat@Marina Bay" this year, StarHub today announced that it will deploy its upgraded solar-powered mobile base station right beside the seating gallery.

Also known as Cellular-On-Wheels (COW), the mobile base station is able to handle mobile traffic from 2,000 users. In addition, StarHub has improved mobile coverage and boosted capacity at over 30 mobile base stations in the vicinity to ensure NDP participants have an optimal service experience.

In addition to the engineers at its network operation centre which remotely monitors the health of its nationwide network 24/7, StarHub will be deploying its network engineers on-site to track the performance of its mobile base station.

It is noteworthy to mention that StarHub achieved 100% uptime for its mobile network during NDP 2013, which processed six times more download traffic and 14 times more upload traffic.
