In addition to the differences in design, dimensions, weight and battery capacity, the Xperia ZL also lacks the water and dust resistance properties of the Xperia Z. For consumers who dislike fingerprints and smudges appearing all over their phones, the Xperia ZL will be a compelling alternative as it does not have a rear glass panel.

The Sony Xperia ZL will be available at the Xperia Store at Junction 8 Bishan as well as M1 authorized retailers at 112 Katong and Chinatown Point in black or white at S$868 (without contract). SingTel will be selling the handset at a later date.
