Sony Releases Its HXR-NX3 NXCAM HD & PXW-Z100 4K Camcorders
Sony has released its HXR-NX3 NXCAM HD camcorder and the PXW-Z100 XDCAM 4K camcorder in Singapore.
HXR-NX3 NXCAM Camcorder
Offering a Exmor 3CMOS sensor system with three 1/2.8-inch sensors, the HXR-NX3 combines Sony's imaging technology with the ability to connect with other devices such as smartphones or tablet PCs with built-in Wi-Fi technology, allowing the camcorder to be controlled remotely. Its newly developed LSI (with a 40x "Clear Image Zoom" technology) includes advanced noise reduction and several distortion correction technologies for clear, low-noise recordings to be captured even in low light, while its Sony G lens delivers image quality as well as a wide zoom range that offers a 28.8mm angle of view at the wide end, with a 20x optical zoom range that will easily cover most shooting situations.
PXW-Z100 XDCAM 4K Camcorder
This professional 4K handheld XDCAM camcorder features a 1/2.33-inch Exmor R CMOS sensor, which has a total of 16 megapixels, and has the ability to acquire 4K content (4,096 x 2,160) at 50p or 60p. It uses XAVC recording format first used in the PMW-F55 CineAlta camera, and like the latter, 4K is possible at a high-bit rate of 500Mbps or 600Mbps. QFHD (3,840 x 2,160) and HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolutions can also be selected, both of which are compatible with most 4K TVs.
Backed by 2-year warranties, both the HXR-NX3 and PXW-Z100 camcorders are currently available in Singapore, only through authorized Sony dealers.
