SkyDrive App for Windows 8/RT Gets Live Tile Support

On Windows 8 or Windows RT and using SkyDrive? Microsoft has announced that the SkyDrive app has gained the ability to show notifications on its live tile at the Start screen. Instead of being just a shortcut for launching the app, the tile will show relevant details when you add files to Microsoft’s cloud storage service. For example, when you add a document, it will show the name, time added, and the folder it’s residing in. The live tile also displays photos that you’ve added.

Now, if only we could pin a specific SkyDrive folder to the Start screen and have offline sync on Windows RT. With live tile support done and dusted, hopefully these often requested features will follow soon.
