Apple is said to be roping in two companies to help manufacture display panels for its upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

According to a Taiwanese tech site, Sharp and Samsung will be supplying display panels for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. While Sharp is said to be the main display supplier, Samsung may step in as a second supplier as LG is experiencing low yields in the production of the display panels.

It is also rumored that Apple will be launching the iPad Pro in Q3 or early Q4, a timing which coincides with the annual announcement of new iPad models in October.

This adds to the list of evidence that suggests that Apple is indeed working on a larger-sized iPad.

The keyboard of iOS 9 is found to be able to scale up to fit a larger display with new keys and support for a display resolution of 2,732 x 2,048 pixels. The upcoming iOS 9 comes with iPad split-screen multitasking which will be useful for such a large display.

Other alleged specs of the iPad Pro include four integrated speakers, two ports (Lightning and USB Type-C), a 7.2mm thin design, Bluetooth stylus, Force Touch and NFC.
