Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy Note.

Integrating core on-the-go benefits of mobile devices while maintaining smartphone portability, the Galaxy Note features the world's largest 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display.

Driven by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, the Galaxy Note 16GB is available by Nov 2011, at SGD $998(inclusive of GST), without line contract.

Samsung also introduces a new category menu under the Samsung Apps. Called the "S Choice", the applications are specially designed for Galaxy Note's S Pen feature. Soonr Workplace and OmniSketch are just some of the new applications offered.

The S Pen functionality, which has been incorporated into Galaxy Note's native applications, will benefit users with increased accuracy and control when editing or personalizing captured videos or photographs. On top of that, users can draw and send handwritten images and notes via text message, email, and Samsung's ChatON communication service.

The S Planner, a smart professional planning tool, takes full advantage of the device's large screen by integrating its To-Do tool and schedule application, enabling simple drag and drop functionality between the 2 apps.

The S Memo, a multimedia application allows for pictures, voice recordings, typed text, etc., to be captured via a single application and converted into a "memo", to be edited, annotated, or shared.
