Seagate is looking to break records at the annual Flash Memory Summit.

This year, they announced two new record-breaking SSDs. One that is capable of speeds of 10GB/s, and another 60TB SSD.

The super fast SSD that is capable of speeds of 10GB/s is called the Nytro XP7200 and it was demonstrated earlier in March.

It is based on four Nytro XM1440 M.2 SSDs, and it achieves its incredible speeds thanks to the support for the ultra high bandwidth PCIe 3.0 x16 interface.

Seagate says mass production of the Nytro XP7200 will begin in Q4 later this year.

Seagate also revealed a massive 60TB SAS SSD, which offers 4 times more capacity than Samsung's recently released 15TB PM1633a SSD.

The massive drive comes in a 3.5-inch form factor and achieves its incredible capacity through the use of 3D TLC NAND from Micron.

The drive is currently developed as a concept and Seagate has no concrete plans to put it into production yet.

However, if it does, one can only shudder at the thought of how much it'll cost.
