Sapphire Updates its Radeon HD 7850 Cards with New Models

Sapphire has just refreshed its Radeon HD 7850 lineup of cards with three new models boasting new coolers and higher clock speeds, promising greater overall performance.

Sapphire will now have a basic Radeon HD 7850 for more budget-conscious users and this model will come with 1GB of GDDR5 memory with clock speeds of 900MHz at the core and 4800MHz DDR at the memory. Another two new models will both have 2GB of GDDR5 memory, with the standard card coming with clock speeds of 860MHz at the core and 4800MHz DDR at the memory. The higher performance Sapphire HD 7850 OC Edition will have clock speeds of 920MHz at the core and 5000MHz DDR at the memory.

All three cards will have dual BIOS and will also be equipped with Sapphire's latest Dual-X multi-heatpipe cooler for better operating efficiency. A new version of Sapphire's overclocking tool, TriXX, is also available.
