SanDisk doubles storage space with their latest Dual USB Drive

SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 (128GB).

Who likes more storage space on their smartphones? Even if a flagship smartphone comes equipped with MicroSD card support, it wouldn’t hurt to have a separate thumb drive for all your shows. The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 can do that, and do it even better than its previous iteration.

The latest version of their dual USB drive comes in a 128GB variant, plus read speeds of up to 150MB/s from the thumb drive to computers equipped with USB 3.0 ports. Previously, the largest available size was 64GB storage space with a maximum read speed of up to 130MB/s.

Dual-ended thumb drives that can connect to both computers and Android mobile devices aren’t new, so you can expect the SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 to do all the usual On-the-Go (OTG) transfers. Of course, your Android smartphone must already have a Micro-USB port that supports OTG for this to happen.

If you want more control over the thumb drive when it’s plugged into your Android smartphone, try getting the complimentary SanDisk Memory Zone app on the Google Play app store. The app gives you better management of files stored across various storage mediums – for instance, you can move data from your thumb drive directly into cloud storage like Dropbox and Google Docs. The app also has a password protection feature for your files too.

The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 is now available, and they retail at S$59.
