SanDisk announces new iXpand flash drive for iOS devices

SanDisk has just officially announced its iXpand USB flash drive. It is a USB flash drive specifically designed to work with iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads. It allows users to quickly transfer files between their iOS devices and computers, and also backup content on their iOS devices.

The drive features a standard USB connector and also a Lightning connector, allowing it to connect to iOS devices. Files can then be accessed and copied using the accompanying iXpand sync app. The app launches automatically when the drive is plugged in and can be configured to automatically sync photos and videos from the camera roll to the drive for easy transfer and backup.

Users can also copy movies onto the drive and play directly from  the drive using the iXpand app. The app even supports popular file formats such as WMV, MOV and MKV, which are not natively support by iOS.

The iXpand flash drive will work with any iOS device that has a Lightning connector and is compatible with both Macs and PCs. It is available now in capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB and is priced at S$88, S$128 and S$188 respectively.
