Since the video release of the drop tests done by third-party warranty firm SquareTrade, consumers have questioned the durability of the Galaxy S6 models in the event of an accidental drop. Samsung decided to silence critics and prove to consumers that its latest smartphones passed rigorous reliability tests before bringing them to market.

In a slightly over two-minute video, Samsung shows how the Galaxy S6 models survived without any glass breakage through back and edge-drops scenarios. The drop tests were done from a chest-height level. It's amazing how the devices appeared to have survived these tests without any hint of cracks or scratches although there wasn't a front-drop test scenario.

Nonetheless, Samsung highlights the extra tough Corning Gorilla Glass 4, the tougher 6013 aluminium frame and other components used in the phones contribute to their strong durability. The company admits that the phones will break if anyone tries hard enough and added that the face of a watch and the windshield on a car also will break under extreme situations.

Do check out the video below to see for yourself. Regardless whether you're convinced or not, we believe all phones will buckle under undue stress and one should take extra precaution if the phone is intended to survive such harsh conditions.
