Samsung Omnia W with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Announced (Updated)

*Update: The Samsung Omnia W will be available in Q4 2011 for S$498.

With the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update around the corner, there's no lack of new devices announced alongside the Microsoft update. One such phone is the Samsung Omnia W.

The Samsung Omnia W acts as the direct successor to the earlier Samsung Omnia 7, with updated specs that includes a faster single-core 1.4GHz processor and a 14.4Mbps HSDPA connectivity option. While the Omnia W retains the Super AMOLED display that was seen on its predecessor, Samsung chose to downsize the screen to 3.7-inches. Honestly speaking, we feel that in today's context, a 3.7-inch display is quite limiting when it comes to the viewing experience.

It will be available in Italy from end-October and gradually rolled to globally including Europe, CIS, Latin America, Africa, South East and South West Asia.
