Samsung has just announced three new curved monitors with support for AMD FreeSync technology over HDMI. This new line-up comprises the 27-inch CF591 and the CF390 series, which features 23.5- and 27-inch models. So AMD graphics cards owners will be able to enjoy the variable refresh technology over HDMI cables for tear-free gaming experience. Delivering this visual experience over HDMI is AMD's strategy to reach out to a wider audience.

Speaking of curvature radius, all three displays have a sharper curve of 1,800R, which is a curvature radius of 1,800mm. Even the recent Acer Z35 curved gaming monitor has a 2,000R curvature, so it seems that Samsung is literally ahead of the curve with its new triplet of curved displays. The former boasts of an astounding 200Hz refresh rate, but the new Samsung displays’ refresh rate maxes out at 60Hz. All three displays have a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees. The Samsung monitors all feature VA (vertical alignment) panels.

The 27” CF591 display stands out from the other two CF390 models as the former supports 119% sRGB color space coverage.  In terms of connectivity, the CF591 sports a DisplayPort 1.2 port, a pair of HDMI 1.4 ports and a D-Sub port. It also has a pair of built-in 5W speakers. The CF390 models only sport HDMI and D-Sub ports; onboard audio isn’t available.

The new Samsung monitors will be mass marketed this month in United States, Europe and Asia. No pricing details have been announced yet.
