Following criticisms of the Galaxy S6 last year, Samsung appears to be learning from its mistake and bringing back two important features for the upcoming Galaxy S7.
According to VentureBeat, the Galaxy S7 will come with a microSD memory card slot that supports cards up to 200GB. In addition, the Galaxy S7 models will come with bigger batteries; 3,000mAh for the Galaxy S7 and 3,600mAh for the Galaxy S7 edge.
Other reported specs include a 12-megapixel f/1.7 rear camera for better low light photography, IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, a 5.1-inch Quad-HD display for the Galaxy S7, a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display for the Galaxy S7 edge, an always-on-display functionality to view notifications, Exynos 8 Octa 8890 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32GB and 64GB storage capacity options.
Samsung is rumored to be holding an event next month to launch the Galaxy S7. The company is also preparing an initial batch of five million units for the launch.
