RHA launches the ultra-compact S500i
Following the launch of the T20, RHA’s next launch is decidedly more affordable, coming in the form of a set of entry-level in-ear headphones – the S500i.
The new headphones feature RHA’s 140.1 model driver, which allows it a frequency range of 16Hz-22kHz, with an impedance of 16 ohm and a sensitivity of 100dB. Other than providing full range sound, the 140.1 driver is also incredibly small, allowing RHA to reduce the size of the headphones overall. This reduced sized, along with the selection of dual density and double flange ear tips provided allows the S500i to fit comfortably into any size or shape of ear, thus allowing for hours of comfortable listening.
There’s a three-button remote and microphone for use with compatible Apple devices, and the S500i has a 1.35m cable that features a two-part material design. The top half uses a traditional TPE finish, while the lower half is wrapped in a tangle-resistant fabric braided outer. Each set will also come with seven pairs of ear tips in a variety of designs (as mentioned above), a fabric carry pouch and a clothing clip.
The S500i headphones carry a three year manufacturer’s warranty and will be available exclusively at Apple Stores worldwide from October 2015 at a recommended retail price of US$ 49.95.
