Researcher Releases 100 million Facebook Profiles for Download

A security researcher released more than 100 million Facebook users' names, addresses and unique IDs for download on Wednesday.

The information was culled from Facebook's public directory (did you know this even existed?). Even though the info is freely available because it's already shared by users, the security researcher Ron Bowes that there is still "a scary privacy issue." We've written about the Facebook privacy issue before, and it's worth a re-visit to your own privacy settings to see if you're not publicly sharing something you don't want to.
