Refurbished Opera Mini 8 Brings Private & Night Modes to BlackBerry OS, Java-running Phones

Opera Mini 8 has rolled out, sporting a revamped interface complete with features.

Custom made for the Java platform on basic phones, the mobile web browser features an enhanced Speed Dial start page with redesigned tiles. Speed Dial provides easy, quick navigation to your favorite sites from hybrid mobile phones. New and existing users of Opera Mini will get to enjoy the following features:-

  • Night mode: Dims the effects of a bright screen, using darker colors that go easy on your eyes (you can enable this in the Settings menu)
  • Improved savings reports: Lets you monitor and adjust how you save data, such as setting the quality of images, all in the same place
  • Private mode: Supports private tabs that won't save information once the open tab is closed (so you can stay logged in on your main window, while your friend checks his/her account in a private tab)

Upgrade your Opera Mini for free now, by visiting m.opera.com with your existing web browser, from your Java-based basic phone, or BlackBerry OS.
