AMD has announced the low-profile FirePro 4300 professional graphics card. Optimized for the latest CAD applications, the new card also promises flexibility in workstation deployment! According to slides obtained by AnandTech, the AMD FirePro 4300 is powered by the variant Bonaire XT GPU and is paired with 4GB of GDDR5 video memory, over a 128-bit wide memory interface.

Its GPU core features 12 compute units, with a total of 768 stream processors. The card is rated to deliver up to 1.43 TFLOPS for single precision floating-point operations. There are four mini-DisplayPort 1.2a outputs with support for AMD FreeSync technology. Also, the card supports up to six DisplayPort displays when coupled with a MST-enabled hub.

Being a small form factor (SFF) card, the card’s maximum power consumption is rated to be less than 50W. In comparison, a similarly-specced FirePro W5100 card’s power consumption ceiling is rated at 75W. For more power saving, the FirePro 4300 supports both AMD PowerTune and ZeroCore Power technologies. According to AMD, the card is currently in mass production, and is expected to be featured in both SFF and full-sized CAD workstations from January 2016 onwards.
