PowerColor has just announced the Devil 13 Dual Core R9 390 16GB GDDR5 graphics card. Besides packing a pair of Grenada XT (rebranded Hawaii) AMD R9 390 GPUs, the card comes with the Platinum Power kit, which is essential a high-end power delivery and management system. The onboard PowerIRStage (single chip design MOSFETs), Super Caps, (supercapacitors) and super ferrite chokes (SFC) drive a 15-phase power delivery system. The card draws power from four 8-pin Molex power connectors, and it has a minimum 1,000W system power requirement. The card has a clock speed of 1000MHz, which is the default for the Radeon R9 390 GPU. Its memory modules operate at 5400MHz, which is 600MHz slower than the default of 6000MHz.

To keep things running cool, there’s three double blade fans atop a large heatsink, with aluminum fins, “connected with total of 10 pieces of heat pipes and 2 pieces of large die-cast panels.” For embellishment, the card sports a pulsating red LED to provide illumination for the Devil 13 logo. Each AMD R9 390 GPU has a 512-bit wide memory interface; in total, the card has 16GB of GDDR5 video memory.
