Plextor Releases New Firmware for M5 Pro SSD

We have recently reviewed the Plextor M5 Pro SSD and found it to be an extremely promising drive. Its overall performance was good but it was let down by some erratic performance on certain benchmarks.
Well, it seems like the people at Plextor have been paying attention as the company has just released a new firmware for the drive. The new firmware turns the M5 Pro SSD into the M5 Pro Extreme, allowing the drive to achieve a staggering 100,000 IOPS.
With the new firmware, users can be assured of maximum performance and reliability, for they have tested up to 400 drives for 500 straight hours with zero errors.
We will be testing this new improved variant of the M5 Pro SSD soon so stay tuned for its results
