A few weeks back, we reported that Microsoft will be rebranding its SkyDrive cloud storage service (that runs on Windows, iOS, and Android) OneDrive. The company has just made the transition official, and you can now log in at www.OneDrive.com.
Like SkyDrive, new OneDrive signups get 7GB of free storage. Microsoft is also giving 100,000 customers who access their account after the launch 100GB of free storage for one year. This ‘contest’ will take place on Wednesday (U.S. time), and it looks like the only way to find out the exact time is to follow the company’s @OneDrive Twitter account. Other ways to increase your OneDrive storage include: referrals (500MB for each referral, up to 5GB) and turning on the automatic photo backup feature on your phone (this nets you an extra 3GB).
