NZXT Launches HALE90 V2 PSU Series with 80 Plus Gold Certification

NZXT has just announced the HALE90 V2 power supply unit. It is a fully modular PSU with an 80 Plus Gold rating. Sporting a plain black and white exterior, its appearance belies the engineering complexity of what goes on inside it!

According to the company, the HALE90 V2 has eschewed connecting wires for its server-grade feature such as solid-bar interconnects between the main board and the cable-host board. The layout of the main board has been optimized and its components have been soldered with white solder-resist, which NZXT claims to be able to provide ten times the thermal conductivity of normal solder-resist; while providing better electrical isolation at the same time. The NZXT HALE90 V2 PSUs are offered in 850, 1000 and 1200 wattages. Their SRPs are US$189.99, US$229.99 and US$269.99 respectively.
