NVIDIA Announces Details of GRID Platform for Cloud Computing Services

NVIDIA has just announced details of its GRID platform that enables the graphical prowess of the Kepler GPU to be harnessed by cloud technology and delivered to remote locations without the need for high-end discrete graphics solutions.

NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsu Huang showcased the GRID platform at CES 2013 in its 20 grid-server rack manifestation that is touted to deliver the graphical computing prowess of approximately 240 NVIDIA Kepler GPUs. This platform was announced last year at the NVIDIA GTC; the GRID architecture can be applied to cloud gaming and there are already a number of such partners who have leveraged on the GRID architecture to enhance their online gaming services.
